  1. on sherbert head i seriously cannot hear the “pussy” in that. what i hear EVERY TIME is “Mr. Bigby… Mr. Bigby!”

  2. Oscar is most likely just a friend’s name. They’re cool like that. They will throw in friend’s names in their tracks. Like Melissa Olson in “melissa juice” or “olson”

  3. Hey Mikey,

I’d like to thank you for your BoCasts. I really enjoy all the work and thought you put into it and the passion you do this with.
I wonder for how long you can continue doing these analysis and podcasts. This shouldn’t come to an end πŸ˜‰

btw, I’m jealous at your ears

    1. Thanks a million, man πŸ™‚ Definitely have 3 more studio releases and a couple EPs to discuss, a few general theories sketched out, and I can’t imagine I can leave R35T and the Old Tunes out. Going to keep pumping as best and as long as I can. πŸ™‚

  4. I have definitely been challenged. With the inability to hear much of any subliminal voices you noted in Campfire Headphase.
And with the nihilist death concepts in Tomorrow’s Harvest. Now I’m back to being creeped out, in a similar way to when I discovered Geogaddi’s messages, because I didn’t realize what I actually have been getting into. But what can you do, haha. I still love the music.

    1. Yeah Colin man, the headphase voices are tough to hear, for sure. Feel free to hit me up (facebook is probably best but email’s fine too) if there are some specific voices you want to hear, I’d gladly hook you up with higher quality audio and try to help you locate the sounds. πŸ™‚

  5. I always thought “Oscar See Through Redeye” always sounded like some sort of shortwave radio call tag… Sorta like Wilco’s “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.”

Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t know much about shortwave radio, but doesn’t that seem like it’d fit?

    1. Well, Oscar is definitely in the phonetic alphabet for O, and so are Yankee, Hotel and Foxtrot for their respective letters, but I guess I never got that feel… The track doesn’t have the thick transmission sounds of Slow this Bird Down. Just my 2 cents. πŸ™‚

  6. after about a minute of research i’ve proven myself wrong. sort of.

oscar is a valid piece of the phonetic alphabet, but see-through and redeye aren’t.

sorry to blow this place up lookin like a newb!

  7. I can’t even hear, let alone make out, half of your vocal interpretations (prob due to poor speaker quality on my part) but the “gasp” in constants are changing really sounds like a simple finger sliding along the guitar strings in a quick chord change.

But that might not be the sound you were referencing.

Thanks for the podcasts though, it’s always fascinating to hear other’s opinions on these guys!
